Yuri Nesh, Photorealist Oil Painter.

I live and work in Wayland, Massachusetts, USA since 2008.
My favorite technique is oil on canvas.
As an artist, I was inspired by the American photo-realists like Richard Estes, Ralph Goings, Glennray Tutor, Steve Mills and many others.
I'm creating a photo-realistic picture using a digital image.
I took a picture with a digital camera, and then I paint one selected picture looking at the image on a computer.
The computer allows you to enlarge and view details.
Objects of the real world are reflected in the camera, then transformed to computer, and then painted on the canvas.
All these transformations are performed by the artist, through the vision of the artist, the aesthetics of multiple reflections.
The artist makes decisions at all stages of which details to keep and what to skip, artist makes choices of light and color.
The artist reflects the real objects to virtual, and virtual to real canvas and these objects look so real.
Each paintings is drawn with a multilayer technique.
I was born in Latvia. I have been drawing my entire life.
I am primarily a self-taught painter although I studied art at the Fine Art Academy of Latvia and
at the Avni Fine Art Institute in Israel.
